After headlining Madison Square Garden in October with the groundbreaking EPIC 3.0, Eric Prydz is returning to his club roots to kick-off 2015. The Pryda presents ‘Generate’ tour will hit 15 clubs in February and March, giving fans a chance to catch Prydz in the intimate environs where he started his DJ career.
In truth Prydz is no stranger to intimate club gigs, indeed they remain his venue of choice. Under his techno alias Cirez D he’s performed at the likes of LA’s Sound and DC’s GLOW in recent months, but the Generate tour will see him giving fans the Pryda experience up close and personal.
2015 will see Prydz lay yet more landmark moments in his career, already he’s delivered the debut Essential Mix of 2015, going back-to-back, with his fast rising Pryda protégé Jeremy Olander. The mix showcased the diversity of both artists, with both their darker techno aliases (Cirez D, Dhillon) well represented, plus in typical Prydz fashion, plenty of unidentified new tracks.
Prydz remains one of electronic music’s most singular artists, releasing music under multiple aliases, across multiple genres; from anthemic Eric Prydz records, to genre defining progressing house as Pryda and the dark, stripped back techno of Cirez D. At a time when mainstage artists in dance music seem almost interchangeable, Prydz continues to stand apart.
