Noise Cans’ powerful anti-war single “No War” gets a hard-hitting trap rework by Yellow Claw. Preserving the integrity of Jesse Royal’s earnest rally calls, Yellow Claw interweaves their signature high-energy synths and rumbling basslines to craft a thought-provoking club banger. “No War” is the second single off Noise Cans’ forthcoming Masquerave EP.
Blending mystery and island mythos, Noise Cans is a musical experience that is part carnival, part incantation, and pure electronic celebration. Donning modern interpretations of Gombey masks, Noise Cans fuses the spirit of Bermuda’s Afro Caribbean heritage with contemporary art, music, lights, and straight up rebellion. His artistry has caught on with tastemakers worldwide such as Annie Nightingale, who recently asked him to create an Ignition Mix for her BBC Radio 1 show. With features in Vogue, Mass Appeal, and Departures, as well as collaborations with Mr Vegas, Skinny Fabulous, amongst others, he is truly what High Times calls “A cultural movement that we need more of.” His eccentricity is on full display in the official music video for “No War,” filmed in NYC by director Cameron Busby.
Taking “No War” to new heights is Dutch duo Yellow Claw, whose bigger-than-life productions have placed them amongst dance music’s elite. Their game-changing debut album Blood For Mercy (2015) hit #1 on Billboard’s Top Dance Electronic Albums Chart and was crowned with an Edison Award—the Dutch equivalent of a GRAMMY. It spawned the mega-smash “In My Room” (feat. Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, & DJ Mustard), which amassed over 115M Spotify streams. Earlier this spring, Yellow Claw released their highly-anticipated sophomore album Los Amsterdam which includes massive hits such as “Good Day (feat. Elliphant),” produced alongside DJ Snake. Most recently, Yellow Claw joined forces with Steve Aoki on “Lit (feat. Gucci Mane & T-Pain),” a track off of Aoki’s chart-topping Kolony. Yellow Claw’s Los Amesterdam Tour comes to Exchange LA this Thursday 11/02 for a special Dia De Los Muertos party.
